In many Native American and South American traditions, Tobacco is THE master teacher plant, a sacred healing plant with many uses, as well as being a form of currency, a tool for divination, and a vehicle for strong prayers.
In this workshop, we will step beyond the commercial exploitation, negative publicity and vilification of tobacco in our society, to find the original true meaning and power of this plant. We will learn how to use, honour and respect this plant safely, without crossing the line into abuse and addiction.
We will experience many ways of using Tobacco for prayer, cleansing, healing, setting intention and preparing ourselves and our environment for sacred events.
And then we will put many of these techniques into practice with a Lakota-style Purifcation Sweat Lodge… entering the womb of Mother Earth to pray and heal in community and humility.
The whole event will wrap up with a beautiful feast.
